Okke Hansen CFP, FIIAA
Okke is a Certified and Registered Financial Planner and a Fellow of the Life Underwriters Association. He started his career in life assurance in 1971 with a leading South African mutual company and returned to New Zealand in 1977 as a Branch Manager of one of our leading financial services companies. He left in 1982 to found his own financial planning business which he developed successfully and eventually merged with Resource Financial Planning Ltd. Married with a young family, Okke is an avid surfer, keen toastmaster and modest banjo player.
Laura Hansen CFP, Dip.Bus
Laura is a Certified and Registered Financial Planner, a member of the Estate and Taxation Planning Council and has completed a Diploma in Business Studies at Massey University. Following a period as assistant to the Chief Economist of a major South African merchant bank, Laura immigrated in 1979 to New Zealand where she founded and built up a successful photo-typesetting and graphic art agency.
She sold her business in 1983 after the birth of her first child and subsequently returned to the financial services industry as a financial planner, operating originally in Rotorua and more recently in Auckland.
In her "spare" time, Laura manages a young family, is a qualified ballet teacher, lectures and broadcasts on financial matters and recently founded Successful Money Management for Women, a group aimed at helping women achieve financial independence.
